The Utility Services Department is the water and wastewater service provider for SARA. Wholesale wastewater service is provided through the Salatrillo Wastewater system to the cities of Converse, Live Oak, and Universal City and retail service to an ETJ area of San Antonio known as the Salatrillo Retail system. The Utilities Department provides retail wastewater services to parts of the City of San Antonio and Bexar County through the Martinez wastewater systems and the US 181 WWTP. The Utilities Department provides operation and maintenance contract services and community assistance to customers in our four-county service area. The Utilities Department has contract utility services with the City of Somerset, City of La Vernia and the Goliad County Water Supply Corporation. The Utilities Department maintains and operates a SARA owned water system providing service to customers in the northwest area of Wilson County. The wastewater collection system in Randolph Air Force Base is SARA owned and maintained by the Utilities Department.
