San Antonio River Authority
Offers Guided Nature Hikes Through May 17
Experts with the San Antonio River Authority are conducting the 2nd series of guided nature hikes on the first and third Saturdays of each month through May 17th. Sites are Braunig Lake Park, Calaveras Lake Park and Jackson Nature Park in Wilson County.
Hike themes include “Birding in Your Backyard”, “Discover Native Plants”, “Scat & Tracks”, and “Wildflower & Butterflies”. Park entrance fee for Braunig and Calaveras: $4 adults 16 64; $2 youth 6-15; free for children 5 and under; $2 seniors 65 and over. Entrance fee at Jackson Nature Park: $1.
Participants should bring a bottle of water and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. The hikes are not suitable for very small children.
