Answer: Braunig Park = 125 land acres
Braunig Lake = 1,350 water surface acres

Answer: Both parks offer shoreline fishing, lighted pier fishing, and boat ramps to accommodate lake fishing.

Question: What recreational activities are permitted on the lakes?
Answer: Fishing, pleasure boating, bird watching, canoeing, kayaking, jet skiing*, water skiing*, and sailing (max draft of 24”). *Calaveras only.
 
Question: Is camping allowed, and what facilities are available?
Answer: Each park admission is valid for a 24-hour period, and self-contained camping is allowed throughout the parks, unless signed otherwise. Covered shoreline sites with designated parking are available for an additional fee, and may be reserved in advance. No water or electricity is available. Each park has three restroom buildings with toilets and lavatories. Note: access into the parks between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am is not permitted.
