Park Services > Calaveras Park > Rules and Regulations After November 30, 2009, the San Antonio River Authority (SARA) will no longer operate Braunig Lake and Calaveras Lake Parks. Property owner CPS Energy will keep the lake parks open under new management, who will honor existing permits and reservations. The San Antonio River Authority thanks all past and present park users for over 40 years of patronage to these lake parks. We encourage you to continue using them for various outdoor recreational activities. Rules and RegulationsFood and Beverage:Public display or consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. No glass containe Camping:Day and overnight camping is offered for rough camping (tent) and self-contained units. Park quiet time is 10:00 pm. Pets are allowed and must be kept on a leash. Vehicles:Only street legal vehicles are allowed in the Parks. Please observe the posted speed limits. Rod Limits for Bank/Pier Fishing:Rod Limits for Bank/Pier Fishing: Three rods per adult, and one per youth. Fishing Licenses:Fishing licenses are required by State Law when fishing in Braunig or Calaveras Lakes. Fishing licenses are NOT sold at the Park Stores, so be sure to visit your nearest sporting goods store before visiting our lakes. |
