San Antonio River Authority Construction Projects for 2009

I. UTILITIES:

| Scope: |
Construct new aeration basin and clarifier at existing 2 mgd facility. Modifications to headworks will include adding pump capacity, a grit collection system and a mixing chamber. Other features will include installing an upgraded plant UV disinfection system and constructing a new motor control center and plant operations building. Offsite improvements include constructing a flow diversion box and installing internal screw pumps. |

II. FACILITIES:

| Scope: |
Construct new office building and workshops for SARA Utilities and Watershed Operations staff at the Martinez II WWTP site. Office building is anticipated to include approximately 10,000 square feet. Two separate shop buildings are also in design to include 15,000 square feet. |

III. PARKS

200 foot long fishing pier with driven pilings, steel deck frame, and concrete decking. |

IV. RIVER MAINTENANCE:

River Debris Cleanup Project (specific site to be determined - San Antonio River in either southern Wilson County or northern Karnes County) |

| Scope: |
Haul off debris and trash. Selectively remove fallen/severely leaning trees by mulch grinding on-site. |

V. RIVER RESTORATION:

San Antonio River Improvement ProjectMission Reach Ecosystem Restoration and Recreation Project, Phase 2a. (San Pedro Creek to Mission Road) |
| Note: |
Project will be administered by the USACEFt. Worth District. SARA is the Non-Federal Sponsor with local Project Management responsibilities. Future phases of this project of similar size are anticipated to be awarded on an annual basis over the next 3 years. |
| Schedule: |
USACE advertisement anticipated in October 2009. Construction duration is anticipated to be 24 to 36 months. |
| Scope: |
Major earthmoving project to restore the flood channel into the functions of a natural river. Project length of 1.1 miles will require the export of 1.6 million cubic yards of material to a SARA operated disposal site. Work involves diverting base flow, reconstructing the pilot channel with pools and riffles, revising the slope/shape of the floodway channel, installing bioengineered bank stabilization systems, restoring native vegetation and constructing a hike and bike path with associated recreation amenities. |
