Salatrillo WWTP has a current capacity of 5.83 MGD.
- Initial Phase of the Salatrillo System was Constructed and placed into service in 1966. (0.5 MGD Plant).
- In 1969 contract between SARA and City of Converse for wholesale sewer service established.
- In 1973 developer joint venture financed 1 MGD plant expansion to expand plant capacity to 1.5 MGD.
- In 1974 1 MGD plant expansion financed by Utilities Capital Improvement Fund to expand plant capacity to 2.5 MGD.
- In 1978 Sewage Transportation, Treatment, and Disposal Cont ract between SARA, Converse, Live Oak, Universal City, and WCID to establish a uniform user charge for wholesale sewer service (supersedes previous agreements).
- In 1979 grant funds authorized by Federal government to expand plant capacity to 3.52 MGD (75% Federal, 25% Utilities bond sale).
- In 1992 construction completed on plant expansion from 3.52 MGD to 4.33 MGD with installation of UV system and increased aeration; funded from the Utilities Capital Improvement fund.
- In 1998 construction began on plant expansion from 4.33 MGD to 5.83 MGD funded by Utilities Bond Sale and the Capital Improvement fund (scheduled for construction completion in August 1999).
- Capital Improvement Projects for the Salatrillo System have totaled approximately $17,252,000 to date.
SARA Utilities maintain the collection system, which consists of:
- 348 man holes
- 22 miles of collection line
Note: The Salatrillo Wastewater Treatment Plant and service system, operations and maintenance, facilities expansions, and system administration costs are totally funded by impact fees, interest income on utilities funds, hay sales, and uniform user rate charges.

Martinez I (Upper Martinez)
Serves approximately 14,459* customers from Woodlake, Ventura, and Camelot Subdivisions in northeast Bexar County.
Upper Martinez is currently a 2.21 MGD extended aeration WWTP with a UV system for disinfection of the effluent.
- In 1967 initial Phase constructed (.3 MGD oxidation ditch facility) developer constructed plant for SARA in consideration of future connections to the system.
- In 1974 developer joint venture financed a 1 MGD plant expansion to expand plant capacity to 1.3 MGD.
- In 1984 plant expansion construction completed (2.21 MGD total capacity).
- Capital Improvement Projects for the Upper Martinez System have totaled approximately $12,198,000 to date.
SARA Utilities maintain the collection system, which consists of:
- 1,737 man holes
- 1 lift staton (Foster Road Lift Station)
- 117.75 miles of collection line

Martinez II
Services a portion of 14,459* customers from Woodlake and Ventura Subdivisions in northeast Bexar County.
It is currently a 2 MGD WWTP.
- In 1984 began construction of the Martinez II 1.0 MGD facility funded by the Utilities Capital Improvement Fund along with developer funding.
- In 1986 Construction of the Martinez II WWTP is completed (1.0 MGD total capacity). $2,463,568
- In 2001 construction of 1.0 MGD expansion underway to increase plant capacity to 2.0 MGD.
- Capital Improvement Projects for the Martinez II System have totaled approximately $6,398,000 to date.
SARA Utilities maintain the collection system, which consists of:
- 901 man holes
- 48.3 miles of collection line

Martinez III WWTP Permitted for 0.15 MGD to service future development at intersection of I.H. 10 East and Loop 1604.
Capital Improvement Projects for the Martinez III System have totaled approximately $802,900 to date.
