LOMR Delegation
About LOMR Delegation
The San Antonio River Authority (SARA) has been awarded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to participate in the Letter of Map Revision Delegation Program. This program delegates selected agencies across the United States the responsibility of performing the technical review for Conditional Letters of Map Revision (CLOMR) and Letters of Map Revision (LOMR) in their local communities on behalf of FEMA.
FEMA will maintain responsibility for the processing of MT-1 applications, which pertain to Conditional Letters of Map Amendment (CLOMA), Letters of Map Amendment (LOMA), Conditional Letters of Map Revision-based on Fill (CLOMR-F) and Letters of Map Revision based on Fill (LOMR-F). SARA officially begins receiving submittals under the FEMA Cooperating Technical Partners initiative on October 1, 2012. SARA will receive submittals within Bexar, Wilson, Karnes and Goliad Counties, Texas, including all incorporated communities within Bexar, Wilson, Karnes and Goliad Counties.
SARA serving as FEMA LOMR Delegate provides many benefits to communities in its jurisdiction:
- Management of local engineering models, supporting data and floodplain maps
- Local coordination of adjacent active CLOMRs and LOMRs
- Availability of local SARA staff to discuss submittals
- Knowledge of local area projects and issues
