RIVER OF LIGHTS 2014 KICKOFF EVENT
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6 - 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.
From Pearl through the Museum Reach and into the River Walk.
From January 28 through January 2, experience the San Antonio River Authority's Museum Reach River of Lights. Beginning at the turning basin near Grayson Street and flowing southward to Lexington Avenue, this 1.3 mile stretch of the river will come alive in an array of colors and lighting. Experience over 100 underwater lights, fiber optic lights throughout many of the water features, LED rope lighting crossing from one side of the river to the other, light posts wrapped in LED holiday lights and much more!

Santa on the Museum Reach
Bring your camera and take a photo with Santa on the Museum Reach of the San Antonio Riverwalk!
Location: River level, under I-H 35 off Camden Street Bridge at Newell Street

Joyous caroling fills the evening air along the San Antonio River Walk as more than 185 school, church, company, and civic choral groups ring in the holidays by singing traditional carols on cruising boats. Viewing is free to the public. More information can be found at www.thesanantonioriverwalk.com.
Rio San Antonio Cruises will have taxis traveling throughout the Museum Reach and into the downtown Riverwalk throughout the night. Participants can purchase a ticket from the barge operator. The barge times are subject to the amount of guests traveling. These are river taxis so they will stop, pickup, and drop off at several locations along the river. Typically, a guest can expect to see 2-3 barges within a one-hour period.
Guests will enjoy live music and performances, activities for children, as well as delicacies from 40+ tamale makers. This is event is FREE to the public and no ticket is necessary. Food and beverage prices range from $1-$5 per vendor and ATMs will be available on-site.
The San Antonio Museum of Art will present a Holiday Artisan Bazaar in the River Pavilion with refreshments, an art activity, and live music from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
